Sitemap ContactStreet Lights
The City of Newport has more than 1,000 decorative streetlights that require constant maintenance and attention. These streetlights are an essential aspect of our streetscapes: they are vital to all aspects of transportation, enabling adequate visibility for drivers and pedestrians at night and in inclement weather. In addition to decorative lights, there are also regular utilitarian streetlights, all owned/operated by different parties. Here's how to tell the difference between a City, National Grid, or private light and how to report an outage/need for repair.
